Integrative Healthcare Symposium
On Oct. 23-24, 2015, members of the Ontario Polarity Therapy Association participated in the Integrative Healthcare Symposium. We had a booth in the exhibitor hall with our members taking turns to staff the booth. Their exhibitor passes also entitled them to attend some of the lectures and presentations.
The symposium took place at the Sheraton Parkway Toronto North Hotel in Richmond Hill. According to the organizers, the symposium represented an important step forward in Ontario, “designed to educate, inspire and engage integrative practitioners and those interested in learning more about alternative and complementary approaches to health care. ”
It was a great success for OPTA for a number of reasons. We had a chance to work together as a group and get to know each other better. Our volunteers spent time talking to the workshop participants and giving mini Polarity sessions. Conference attendees were mostly members of the regulated health professions–MDs, nurses, naturopaths, and they seemed very interested in our work and appreciated the opportunity to experience something outside of their usual frame of reference. It afforded OPTA a precious opportunity to showcase our work to more mainstream professionals.
Many thanks to the volunteers: Peggy Barrett, Daphne Duckworth, Janet Egan, David Pinto,
Fran Burke, Janice Cooper, Jenny Bonnor-Moris, Stephanie Brander, Manuela Federici and Natalie Pequeux.
Those who volunteered thoroughly enjoyed the experience and look forward to working at the 2016 Symposium. We’d love to have you join us. Feel free to submit your name to be included on the list.
The dates are October 14th and 15th.
